Clemens Revitalizing East Market

City Map Marking

Clemens is working on several projects in the revitalization of the East Market corridor. The projects, a renewal of mixed use buildings in the urban core, reflect the range of our work as a general contracting firm with strength in delivering value on urban infill projects.

1112-1128 Chestnut Street

Chestnut Street Building

1112-1128 Chestnut Street was an award-winning, multi-phase project where Clemens collectively worked with the owner, Brickstone Realty, and the design team, Blackney Hayes, through the demolition and pre-construction phases. Completed in June 2016, Clemens constructed over 90,000 square feet of retail space, now inhabited by a Target Express and Wine & Spirits Shop, crowned by 112 luxury apartment units that are already transforming this key block of East Chestnut Street.

34 South 11th Street

 34 south building

The former Family Court Building at 34 S. 11th Street is getting reconstructive surgery. To give new life to this classic structure, Clemens is removing and replacing its existing facade and preparing the interior floors for future retail and office tenants. We are already planning for the ground floor retail tenant, which will house a MOM’s Organic Market, slated to open in 2017.
