Clemens Construction recently completed an expansion of the amenity roof deck at The Kennedy House, a 30-story residential condominium tower. The project included demolition and re-roofing of approximately 9,500 SF on the building’s east side, an extension of the east stairwell, and construction of a new rooftop amenity space. The expanded deck features teak wood pavers, custom shade pergolas, built-in benches, grilling stations, outdoor-grade furniture, and steel planter boxes, creating an inviting outdoor retreat for residents alongside the existing west-side pool deck. Concealed HVAC equipment was integrated into the design to maintain the aesthetic of the new amenity space. Due to the building’s urban location and limited access, Clemens erected a construction material hoist along JFK Boulevard to safely and efficiently transport materials to the rooftop.
